The Role: What to expect
The Procurement and Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing all procurement and supply chain activities, ensuring that processes are strategically aligned, cost-efficient, and meet high standards of quality and operational effectiveness. This role requires a blend of analytical and strategic thinking to strengthen supplier relationships, secure timely and quality material deliveries, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
Role Responsibilities: What you will do
Procurement and Supplier Management
  • Manage and coordinate relationships with existing suppliers to ensure timely, high-quality order fulfilment.
  • Execute and monitor orders for equipment, spare parts and related materials, ensuring they meet operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements and ethical standards.
  • Evaluate potential new suppliers and manage the qualification process to expand the supplier base.
  • Negotiate and enforce supplier contracts with the support of our legal department to ensure optimal terms and quality assurance.

Supply Chain and Inventory Optimization
  • Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and ensure product and spare-part availability.
  • Work closely with supply chain management and cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with logistics strategies.

Logistics and Distribution
  • Manage logistics partners and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation and delivery of goods.
  • Negotiate transportation and warehousing contracts, maintaining compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

 Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Utilize data analytics to assess procurement and supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on cost savings, supplier performance, inventory levels, and logistics metrics.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with legal, finance, production, and quality assurance teams to align procurement and supply chain efforts with overall business objectives.
Role Requirements: What you need to succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • At least 4 - 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally in the technology or logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and supplier management best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a proactive, strategic approach.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, with a strategic mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Fluent in German and English
